Bay Parking in Pinner Test Center.

My fellow instructors, it has been brought to my attention that a small number of instructors, you know who you are, have not been playing the ‘game’.

I am referring to the practise of entering test centres, particularly Pinner but I am sure there are others too, with your pupils to practise bay-parking and not waiting for your turn to go. This is very annoying and stressful for both instructors and pupils. Let’s do the decent thing and not jump the queue, but wait your turn. We are not on the continent!

Practicing hours are before 08.15 and after 16.15 as clearly signposted

And while I’m on the subject of using the test centre to practise let’s try and keep out of the way of those on their test, both examiners and pupils would appreciate this.

Thanks

Neil Goodman

CPD still seems to be a mystery to some of us. As more information becomes available I will let you know.

I will be attending the DSA conference on June 10 at

On the 19th of July we were fortunate to have as our guest speaker Larry Jones formerly of the Met police traffic division and now consultant on all matters regarding speed cameras and their legal status. He gave us a brief history of these cameras and how they operate. Take it from me, you cannot cheat them!!
We had an attendance of about 26 which is good for a hot and sticky evening. Many thanks to all who attended.

Our next meeting will NOT be on Monday 20th September as advertised, but on Wednesday 15th September and will take place at Kia showroom, Field End Road, Eastcote. 7.00pm for 7.30pm. (Not in Kenton)

Kyriacos Kountouros (George) DTAM Sector 14 manager, DSA, will give a presentation highlighting the up and coming changes to the driving test. As this may well be the last chance to ask questions before the implementation, I urge you all to attend!

MAKE A NOTE IN YOUR DIARIES!!!!!!

Also.........

I have been in communication with both Hillingdon and Harrow councils with regard to the legality of using their car parks for bay-parking practise.
This is the answers I received.
Hillingdon have refused to permit any driving school car to use any of their public car parks for bay park practice. You have been warned!
Harrow, however, WILL allow the use of driving school cars to use their public car parks for practise providing that all care is taken not to 'upset' members of the public or cause any damage. Many thanks Harrow.

Be safe out there

Neil
