On the 19th of July we were fortunate to have as our guest speaker Larry Jones formerly
of the Met police traffic division and now consultant on all matters regarding speed
cameras and their legal status. He gave us a brief history of these cameras and how
they operate. Take it from me, you cannot cheat them!!
We had an attendance of about
26 which is good for a hot and sticky evening. Many thanks to all who attended.
Our
next meeting will NOT be on Monday 20th September as advertised, but on Wednesday
15th September and will take place at Kia showroom, Field End Road, Eastcote. 7.00pm
for 7.30pm. (Not in Kenton)

Food for thought, this was in the Daily Telegraph recently and I quote, 'Phillip
Lilley, 36, of Droylsden, Greater Manchester, was fined for driving a yard through
a red light to allow an emergency police van to pass.'
